DJ Sacha Dieu, from London’s 'Stranger the Paradise' nights presents BALKAN KARTEL - a twisted exotic romp of Balkan beats, gypsy laments and cossack high kicks! With special guests, Gabby Young and Other Animals

The youngest ever recruit to the National Youth Choir at the age of 12, Gabby was on track to become an opera singer until Jeff Buckley and the jazz greats inspired her to switch teams. In 2008 Gabby formed the 8-piece band who complete the magical musical fairground we know today, using a wide range of instruments, most notably trumpet, trombone, piano and clarinet – affectionately dubbed Circus Swing (www.circusswing.com) by those who felt that there was no existing genre to encompass Young’s sound.

The band successfully crowd-funded their debut album, bringing them to the attention of the national press. Relative fame was mirrored by hard work in the UK's musical grassroots scene, where they've toured alongside Blind Tiger friends, such as the Chai Wallahs festival stage.

Now achieving their full musical strength, Gabby Young & Other Animals promise an unmissable live show in this July's Brighton calendar.
